Do You Need MRCP?
You know that I've seen/ Too many romantic dreams/ Up in lights, falling off the silver screen
Hey guys!
We get a lot of questions related to taking MRCP. MRCP is a post-graduate exam that will get you GMC registration (which allows you to work as a doctor in the UK). Many IMGs consider taking MRCP, thinking it may give them a ‘boost’ or a ‘better’ GMC registration.
No matter which route you take to obtain your registration, there is no difference in the registration that you get. No one will know or see what route or exam you’ve taken. So think carefully about what works best for you.
Also remember that MRCP is a post-graduate exam for those of you wishing to pursue a medical specialty (ex: cardiology, rheumatology, renal, etc). It makes no sense to take this exam if you are sure about which specialty you want to undertake, or if you already know you don’t want to do medicine. Different specialties have different royal college exams. For instance, you need MRCEM for emergency medicine, MRCS for surgery, MRCPCH for pediatrics, and so on and so forth.
Song of the Week
Quite possibly one of the most iconic songs by Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven is a mesmerizing tune that will have you playing the air guitar (or maybe that’s just us?). But don’t just take our word for it, give it a listen!
TV Shows to Binge
An ensemble comedy show about a group of people from all walks of life who are taking classes at their local community college, Community is will likely be different than any show you’ve seen before. Quirky, innovative, and definitely imaginative, you’ll soon be wanting to join Troy and Abed in the morning.
